Campaign Mails Interactive CD to Communicate With Delegates |
|||
| DENVER, COLORADO – May 16, 2002 — This week, Governor Bill Owens' campaign will debut the Owens 2002 interactive CD. Instead of mailing traditional letters and direct mail pieces to each State Assembly delegate, the Owens 2002 campaign will mail the official Owens 2002 interactive CD.
"As governor, Bill Owens has pushed the envelope with pioneering, innovative ideas and solutions for Colorado and the Owens 2002 campaign is following suit," said Sean Tonner, campaign manager. The Owens 2002 CD highlights many of Governor Owens' legislative accomplishments and lists his position on dozens of issues. For those with Internet access, the CD will connect directly to the Owens 2002 website which contains the latest information on the campaign. According to Tonner, Colorado Republican State Assembly delegates will be among the first in the country to receive campaign materials via an interactive CD. "We are one of the first campaigns in the country to take advantage of interactive CD's as a campaign tool. I believe that we are breaking new ground and creating a trend." "The CD's are not only an effective means to persuade undecided delegates, they are also a great reference tool for grassroots leaders," continued Tonner. "And although the CD may look expensive, it is actually a very cost effective way to provide each delegate with a wealth of information about Governor Owens' record and his vision for the future." A Colorado-based software company, Outsource Information Technology Corp., designed the interactive CD. OutSourceIT was founded in 1995 and is recognized as a leader in the development of custom software applications for business. OutSourceIT provides full service design, development, and deployment of advanced custom web, multimedia, and Windows-based software solutions. Tonner predicted that the Owens campaign will continue to take advantage of new technologies and provide voters with innovative ways to meet Bill Owens and learn about his vision for the next four years.
